Course Description:

Overlooking a particularly scenic stretch of the Ottawa River, the Arnprior Golf Club has served golfers in the Ottawa Valley since 1924 when its original nine first opened for play. Always one of the favorite courses in the valley, the club added its second nine in 1988 bolstering both its popularity and its overall level of difficulty.

Everywhere you look at Arnprior, the pride of the membership in this fine facility is immediately evident. The fairways and the greens are exceptionally well taken care of and are usually among the best maintained in the valley. Add to that the exceptional views of the Ottawa River experienced from many of the holes, and you have a course that is as beautiful to look at as it is enjoyable to play.

Arnprior offers a variety of challenges over its 6,106 yards with fairways ranging from wide and forgiving to narrow and exacting. Always, good shot making is rewarded on this target style course, especially on Arnprior's many dog legs where club selection becomes critical.

One of the most memorable holes on the course is the par three 11th, better known to locals at the Quarry Hole. Here you will play a 91 yard tee shot to a "lean and mean" green that possesses a distinct slope and is well guarded by traps. On this hole, triple bogeys are as common as pars, and even a bogey is considered an acceptable score.
